JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation and Cooking:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your specialty section.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and presentation.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to meet the established quality standards.

Kitchen Management:

  • Ensure the station is stocked and ready for service at all times.
  • Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profitability.

Compliance and Hygiene:

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure all equipment in your section is operational and properly maintained.

Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Collaborate with Head Chef to develop new recipes and menu items.

Training and Development:

  • Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
  • Assist in monitoring staff performance and suggesting improvements where necessary.

 


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Chef de Partie
Sous chef

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and understanding of culinary trends.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for culinary excellence.

Education:

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent certification preferred.

Other:

  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
